Medical Anthropologist and Ethnologist; research expeditions to India (1978-1986); Associate Professor for Cultural Anthropology and Cultural Studies, University of Hamburg, Germany (1982-1992); visiting professor, University of Hawai'i, Manoa and Hilo (1989-1991); training and certification in Holotropic Breathwork with Stanislav Grof (1991-1994); Lecturer for Medical Anthropology, European University Viadrina, Frankfurt/Oder, Germany (2009-); Founder and Director of La’akea Gardens, a Permaculture Educational Center, Lower Puna, Hawai’i (1992-2005); developed the TARA-Process; holds international seminars and lectures; author of a number of publications including „The Red Thread. Healing Possession at a Muslim Shrine in North India“; lives on the Big Island, Hawai’i, USA.

Expressive Arts Therapist who has been specializing in working with survivors of brain injuries since 2000; TARA-Process facilitator and trainer; owner of wick design studio serving clients in the fields of ecology and health; lives in San Francisco, USA.

Bodhitara Diane Searles, LMT, B.A., Med.

Educated at the Naropa College, Colorado and the Institute of Advanced Hypnosis under the supervision of Eli Jaxon-Bear, California. Presently she is completing her Masters in Education at University of Hawaii, Hilo in the Dharma of Community. She works as a trainer for hypnosis and licensed bodyworker, TARA-Process facilitator and trainer. Since 2005 she is actively involved with the Youth Food Sovereignty Movement in Hawaii and co-facilitates Kaiao Community Garden in Hilo Hawaii. Lives and works on Hawai’i Island, USA.
